Chia-Yu HSIEH and Jin-Tu HSIEH are a rare father-daughter tea farmer duo in Pinglin. Chia-Yu is a young farmer who returned to her hometown despite her father's objections, having made her way in the cities. She studied tea cultivation and processing at the College of Agriculture at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, and has successfully applied the theories she learned to the local tea industry.

If you have ever participated in a tea learning tour led by Jin-Tu, you will certainly know that he is a locally-rooted tea farmer. 

In 2018, his Oriental Beauty black tea won a 2-star rating in the iTQi flavor evaluation in Belgium.

Jin-Tu is dedicated to making good tea in the oolong style. Whether it is Oriental Beauty or Wenshan Paochung, his teas offer great taste.

Tian-Song 's home is located at Shangkengzikou in the Shangde River Watershed District. The streambed tea field is adjacent to the stream, and the Dashigong tea field is located deeper in the mountains. Looking towards the distance from his home amidst the rolling mountains in lush green, a sea of clouds have yet to rise above him at first light. 

Tian-Song insists on making a living primarily in tea growing, living a simple life and raising four children alone through hard work. And the family has been blessed with the skills of making excellent tea. Tian-Song’s tea is timeless and elegant. He has been a good partner of Blue Magpie Tea.

His name tells it all. Wen-Wang is an imposing figure in Shangde, Pinglin. This photo shows his righteous personality. 

His wife has also been a key pillar in his life. 

In the first year, when a dealer defaulted, Wen-Wang stood up for us; in the second year, when the peers hoarded stockpiles, he stood up for us; in the third year, in a hostile takeover situation, he stood up for us. When tea farmer Guo-Chun talks about the emerald teas of the hidden tea fields, he lights up with enthusiasm. 

He has grown tea in earnest all his life, even saying, "When you pour water into this teacup, you should fill it to the brim. It’s the attitude of being a person, 'to fill up with the water.'" "As water overflows from the brim, as arrow shoots forth from a taut bow."

He is also a graceful scholar, steeped in the lifelong study of tea, immersed in time. His crops grow strong, harvested after fully maturing in time.

A-fa is a Blue Magpie Tea farmer who lives in the deepest mountain. His whole family is engaged in farming in the mountains, with five children in the family who enjoy a carefree pastoral life in the mountains.

Once in a late-night Blue Magpie Tea home tutoring session, the visiting teacher accidentally came across Afa's amazing Daman Oriental Beauty tea, and Afa was brought on board as a Blue Magpie Tea farmer.

Our Blue Magpie Tea farmer Lian-Fu has been growing tea in Pinglin his whole life. When Blue Magpie Tea was still a little baby, he was the one who came up with new ideas! 

Notably, his home sits next to the Pinglinwei Bridge, which has witnessed several generations of Pinglin’s prosperity. Lian-Fu has a gentle predisposition, always appearing calm, calmly brewing tea. Every time consumers hear that his is a pesticide-free and fertilizer-free tea, they all lay down their support and admiration. It makes Lian-Fu reminisce about the times he almost gave up, because unconventional farming was really hard. But it’s through perseverance and determination that he has amassed seven or eight years of harvests now. He cherishes and expresses gratitude to the people who have supported him all the way.
