坪林金瓜聚落上方有條古道，往南翻山可達烏來；這路在日治地圖可見，也說明金瓜聚落是早期漢、原的交界。

步道有幾棟百年古厝；眼前這棟，滄桑斑駁、古樸勁拙。

 

There is an ancient road above the village Jingguashi in Pinglin.
You can reach Wulai through the mountains in the south that way.
This road is on those maps from when Taiwan was under Japanese rule.
They also show that the Jingguashi village was the junction of the early Han and indigenous people.
